i had to look at this again. the car is very tastefully done. i have the same color exige s. maybe if i get into an accident requiring clam change, this would be the definite solution. i actually hit my front on the track today but the damage is minimal and can be repaired. thank god!
as for the large fender gaps in the rear. follow the track spec suspension height setting and the gap will be much closer and better handling. the difference is big and i feel the car is actually softer sprung this way thus more comfortable. my only constructive comment is the rear tire looks slim for the widebody. a wider rear tire would really complete the package. nonetheless, amazing car you got there. drive safe ![]() |

i really appreciate your total honest opinion. So, what's the ideal track pack suspension adjustment for the ruff street of thailand?
I looked into the bigger rear tires....but the 4*100 that WIDE is so hard to find the perfect wheels for it. Trust me, i've been through tons of catalogue. But if you have anything else, please let me know. Here in Thailand, i get overly excited just seeing another lotus on the road. Once again, thank you...... ![]() PK |

re: wider wheels for the lotus to match the widebody kit; find the right contact as i'm sure there are japanese or US brands that can custom make the size you like with the proper offset to fit your exige.
several years ago, a wheel distributor from CA used my '99 Esprit V8 as his demo vehicle in SEMA show. he had the company custom make the wheels for my car as they didn't manufacture wheels for that car. It had a unique hub diameter and PCD. In less than a month, the wheels were Stateside with perfect fit on my car. this is the brand of the wheels: SUPER STAR アルミホイール If you don't mind spending, i'm sure there are US brands that will custom make the wheel for you: HRE, Iforged, Kinesis, Fikse, etc. What i'm not sure is how much these will weigh and how they will affect the performance of the car. re: trackspec ride height; check the front suspension forum of this site. it has the details there. i followed the height but left the damping 3F/2R per manual recommendation as street setting damping. i also removed all front shims, except for the one for the ABS -thinking of removing as well. you will be happy you did this mod especially if you do spirited driving or track the car tell me about bad roads. we have far worse roads here in the Philippines than Thailand. I've been to BKK a couple of times and you have it lucky already. Driving the exige on our roads is so painful...the car is rattling and squeaking everywhere. |

Just out of curiosity, why not make your own body parts? Unless the wing is super specific for the lotus, as far as angle, downforce, etc, couldn't you just buy a CF wing, and weld custom mounts that bolt into the stock holes?
