Thanks $1400 US seems decently reasonable for that considering what we pay for carbon parts here.

Really want details on the fasteners - namely the tapered shoulder washers.

If there was a way to make the hinges less fragile and not weigh too much I've always wanted scissor doors...if nothing else just to be able to open the doors without worrying about dinging the edge to the car next to me. But yeah, these hinges in the picture seem to be better than the usual almost 45 degree outward angle the cheapies look like - and it does look hot!

I've seen many cars with scissor door conversions, some cheap, some expensive. None of them close properly and the door and front fender make contact damage. The problem is the door was not designed to go straight up, there for it must always open a bit first before rising. This 2 part motion is dependent on human operation which is never fail safe. If there was a hinged design that bowed the angle door and the rise in the same motion, that would be optimal but don't think this exists.

what would be sweet is a set of "dihedral synchro-helix hinge" like the Koenigsegg's have now THAT is one hell of a door mechanism! i will agree though that the doors in that picture look like much better than most of the after mket scissor doors i've seen

this is one of the only cars that aftermarket "lambo" doors actually look good

if i did a widebody id scissor it, or as Kaz said, if there were higher quality lower weight options id be all over it as well

It does have cool factor to be certain. Wont that bottom edge of the open door overlapping the exit is where a person's head usually is when exiting? That bottom edge of the door also gets fairly dirty... wouldn't care to rub that on my shirt. Then there is the question of weight to replace the standard door hinge assembly. Not a fit for me I think but I'm more than happy to admire them on someone else's car.

actually, the CHEAPer lambo doesnt have them...one fact is probably to cut cost...the murcielago still does...hmmmm

and im pretty short, so i think it would be easier for me to get in and out of the car with the "lambo" doors...but as i stated before, there are no lightweight, better built quality options out there just yet...i too also know cus i used to OWN a tuner shop hehehe
