Most people (accross all cars communities) fill up the gap with a wider custom wheel and new tires sizes. Added contact patch will aid in braking, accel, and cornering.

Ok, after another busy working day, I took my lunch off and took my Exige S to the carbon fiber shop to extend the spoiler to match with the wider rear. Now my baby lotus looks handicapped without her tail
Looking at the third pic, what rims/tires 17/18 setup do you recommend? I do love the widebody, but i feel like something is missing. First! the CF roof scoop or a new CF roof, second is a wider rear spoiler ( in progress)
Oh, i didn't put the front stripes on yet cuz after the accident, the whole front shell is brand new. First the starshields, then the stripes(this weekend..i guess )

Wow! That car looks amazing.

The wider stance in the back makes me think of that Plan's Motorsport Exige Spoiler for $2,000 that fits into the factory slots:

Definitly show pictures when the new one is installed.

As far as the roof is concerned, Both Bodyshop Kobayashi in Japan and Sector 111 in the U.S. sell wet-carbon exige hard-tops with the extended scoop. It definitly looks the best to me.

BSK sell's theirs for 157,500 Japanese Yen, about 11,409 Hong Kong Dollars or $1,459.77.

the contact for the english speaking rep is taro_kaneko@hotmail.com

Sector 111 sells one for $2,800.00 it can be found HERE

I am also fond of the rear deck hood BSK sells, but maybe I am getting too ahead of myself

In any case the car looks fantastic, post more pics when its all set!

Carpe Viem & bender unit
the spacers are already added to the rear...30mm i think. Anyways, Carpe Viem, thank u so much for the info. I love the sector 111's roof, the jap roof opening is a bit too (large?) extreme for me. But the problem is a month wait on sector's roof. Anyone got sector's roof and want to sell quickly?
I'll post a finish pic of the new rear wing next thursday to see if it's actually compliments the new rear. So much gap between the rear wheels and fenders, i can park another car in there. hmmm....17/18?

It's meant for people who have the wing mounted to the rear clam.

I still can't tell from your pictures what this looks like.

If you are spending all this money on this project, can you find a budy or someone that can take a decent picture.

Wow, check out all those classic Mini's. I have a 1965 that I am in the middle of doing a v-tec conversion on.

pkhot95: It is Beautiful.

How will you rank the quality of the body kit to be honest from scale 1 - 10 (10 = Best, 1 = Worth)?
I like it alot & plan to follow you step

i like how the back of the flares blends in with the bodywork preserving the inward taper. Although I wish the front was similar in that respect, pretty nice work either way.

What Elise/Exige will benefit from wider body panel and/or wider wheel track anyway? (I mean performance wise)

I can't tell any difference.

Seriously - it looks very well done.

What did you have done to the spoiler?

That's actually a good thing IMO. A good mod is when it looks really good, but you can't really tell why.

Stormy,
heres a pic of the spoiler before, and spoiler after. Notice that the end of the spoiler will fall between the 1st and 2nd taillight. But after i got it stretched , it hangs almost at the end. The reason you couldn't see a significant change cuz it's the same ratio as the regular wing with the regular rear clam. Now that the rear is wider, so does the wing (relatively)..
