It's a K24, but we've intimately been down this road. Call if you have any questions.

ggelise, give us a call some time. We can help you out! The S1 is coming back to my shop for track preparation next season at tracks like Road America, Autobahn CC, and Blackhawk Farms. Tracks where I've got an advantage on setup sheets!
Anyway, the car was tracked all season long with fantastic reliablility. So far, we've blown a CV and that's it. This was always conceived as an all business track car and not a show car, but it kinda worked out with the show circuit and all. It should be back in about five weeks, but back with a silver wrap on it ![]() S1 standoff! That alone should make a magazine cover!

When you encounter the problems of the CV axles clearing the rear suspension, give me a call. We had the Newman Haas guy redesign the entire rear subframe to something truly spectacular. Point being, it's already designed, CAD files generated, a CAM program already done, jigs already made.

Also, consider dumping that aluminum foil heat shield bullsh*t, clean the entire firewall and us the gold heat shield from C&R radiators or Pegasus. It's expensive, but better thermal properties and weighs probably 1/10th of the original. Besides, your exhaust is no longer facing the firewall with this conversion.
Furthermore, be cautious of your AN hose assembly. You want to avoid those little sections of hose between the AN fittings. Such short lengths are often subject to failure. If there's another way around this plumbing problem, it should be pursued. Also, is the check valve hiding underneath the frame between the electric solenoid and your 90 degree -10? If not, there really needs to be one there. I'll explain the theory if anyone cares....

That fire was caused by the (honda conversion) tripod joint in the drive shaft braking and while it failing around it hit the oil filter and hot oil sprayed everywhere and started the fire. They were lucky it was not a total loss.
The Tripod joint is the weak link on these Honda conversions. I am not sure if Composites has solved this with their subframe but it would be worth looking into it. That should be a very fast car when you are done ![]()

Check valve: An accusump injected into the oil line from any arbitrary point will add oil pressure and subsequent flow of oil away from the accusump. The goal with the check valve is to make sure that this pressurized oil feeds the 'IN' or 'RETURN' side of the engine, and doesn't fight the oil pump going the other way.
If I see this correctly, the brass check valve is under the frame out of sight. If it is indeed there, it's in the wrong place and needs to be moved as explained above. The electric valve kit on the Accusump is essential, and I'm glad to see one on your installation. There's no intelligent way to plumb a ball valve into the cockpit operated by the driver which is reason #1. Reason #2 (the really good one), comes from blown race motor stories of woe. I spin out in the grass cuz some knucklehead ran me off the track and I stalled the motor, (when in a spin, both feet in for f*&k sake!!! ).Now I'm pissed and I want to vehemently get back into the race. I fire up the motor, & mash the gas pedal to chase this guy down. Anyone wanna guess at the failure? Motor stalls, I didn't close the manual Accusump valve. Of course I didn't close the freaking valve, I was spinning, scared and pissed! Now, I've got an open Accusump valve, and I've lost whatever stored pressure was once there. Fire up the motor and instead of feeding oil to the engine, the oil pump recharged the Accusump instead. ![]() Spun bearing, lost race, damaged ego & pocket book. One manual ball valve removed from said race car never to be used again. The electric valve takes care of all this automatically via a solenoid and a pressure transducer. Duh.

PWR Barrel A2W IC? Love to see the pics of the end tanks if you can snap a pic or two. Looking for a A2W setup for my car too. If you can provide specs on the A2W setup I would be much obliged. You can PM me if you want the specs staying secret. Thanks!
