Smelling Oil When Shifting Above 7k Any Ideas Why?

I have close to 2800 miles on my Exige and have since new smelled oil when shifting above 7k rpm.Is there a breather that when the rpms create a certain amount of pressure it blows through and or out the breather? Also my exhust tips are black and when I took it in for my first service the dealer said no the motor is running fine, its not running rich.Any input would be appreciated. Nob

Is it possible that you're smelling the clutch, not oil?

Dave it is definatly oil and only above about 7k.But the cluthc does get very soft at those rpms.I wonder if because of the high rpms it is designed to require less pressure for a quiker shift?
