Sunday in Amish Country

Drove up to the Lancaster, PA area on Sunday. I actually passed quite a few of those Amish buggies. Had some Amish kids waving at me. Can't believe they get around with only one horsepower (not sure how much torque). Couldn't help but think of the movie "Kingpin" & I tried hard not to "pull a Munson."

Anyway, here are some pictures I took along the roadside.

Pretty area up there ... but I need electricity.

Looks like a beautiful day to take the top off... That is gorgeous country-I graduated from Cumberland Valley up the road in Mechanicsburg.

I cruise through Amish country quite a bit. It's 10 minutes due west from my house, and some really pretty drives. It's especially nice in the Fall when the farmers are burning leaves and such.

Nice looking car, for sure.

Not like Pittsburgh. No H. It is not that strange of a name in a state that has towns named Blue Ball, Intercourse and Paradise. But also let us not forget Bird-in-Hand, Jim Thorpe, Turkey City or Turnip Hole. We could fill a couple of Letterman's top ten lists here in PA.

Exigent, let me or Win know when you are up for some fun roads in York county.
