Guess what, I was told the same thing you will find above and in the previous linked thread.
However - I got my '08 Exige-S 240 today (ordered in May), it came with an Alpine CDE-9872.

i think it really depends upon what they have at the port when the cars arrive. i had a silver faced alpine in my car when i first saw it and i had the dealer switch it out for a black one off another in the showroom.
