the lambda wire plugs into EFI harness on one side, the other side is a black/white cable which IMO has to go somewhere into the AFK A/F meter so the EFI and the AFK are on speaking terms.

Question: Anybody knows where to connect this black/white wire?

thanks Enrico

Bah TVS. I love the VF2. NO EFI. I have a day job already. Also, love the tuned howling air intake.

struggling a bit not with blower nose <--> alternator bracket, somehow doesn't align fully.
now drilling out the bracket a bit so we can reach 100% of the alternator hole instead of only half so we put the screw thru, then that's out of the way also.

I had to do the same. Lotus = + or -

Yes, we could see about 50% of the hole of the screw in the alternator thru the bracket. Not enough to force the screw thru the bracket. After five minutes of drilling the bracket a bit, it worked!

So EFI is done except for velcroing the EFI to firewall. A/F Wideband done, fuel surge tank done, SC 75% done.
Tomorrow only pretty straightforward stuff to do: header + exhaust back on, clam back on, and some minor stuff and then praying that the car will fire up, somewhere in the afternoon.

because of lack of time i'm not going install the A/W intercooler, my car has to be finished tomorrow other i'm screwed. Instead i'll wait for Phil's IC if he decides to make it but i'm not in a rush. First i'm want to enjoy my ride!!

Glad to see the progress. I had only heard about the hole not reaching for the first time last week. The one's I've installed all fit like a glove. Fortunately, it's super easy to elongate that hole a touch... I'll add some elongation to the hole for the future...

I just had another awesome day at the track (that's two days out this week). I found that I've got more giddy-up than my friend's FF275 car and he's lighter with less aero drag Uploading the vid to the tube now... I think you'll be quite happy for a while

Best,

Phil

This isn't just a TVS install, it's TVS + motor build + other goodies. If you think a VF is better suited for that type of set-up, I would disagree.

TVS vs. VF is very debatable and I completely understand why one wouldn't want an EFI. I don't want an EFI either. But like I said, this set-up is different.

can you post how you fabbed up your air intake again, i know we talked about: K&N filter + tube so we can shove as much air possible in motor not worrying about MAF anymore but i can't recall details like size anymore. thanks. Enrico

It was just 2-3mm we're short, so it was a very minor misalignment but enough not to be able to push the screw thru.
Like Jim said: it's a Lotus so I don't expect everything to be the exactly same on all Lotus.

Your right, for a motor build with compression change its the only way to go. When mine blows may copy this thread. Just excited to finally have mine out of the garage after 3 months of tinkering.

Hehe- You'll laugh at this... I can't make an intake for what they can be purchased for... All you need a 3" diameter tube and 3" KN cone. I literally went to the parts store's "performance section". I picked up a 3" generic intake tube and KN cone off the shelf. Out the door for like 60 bucks. You don't need a MAF boss or anything similar, so there's really nothing to it.

Sounds too simple, I know... but that's all you need. I've been tracking with that setup for about a year now. It's great for $$$

Best,

Phil

The setup looks familiar though, i thought we already tried that one, but we tried quite a bunch of them so i might be mixing things up now.
