BWR owners, Everyone else get the buzzing sound at 3K Rpm???

Any way to get rid of it? I guess its the butterfly valve...

I'm hoping the next BWR-related thread isn't called "What's wrong with your BWR. List issues here."

I have zero issues except for too much fun with my new BWR SC!

The only issue that I have had so far is the perma-grin on my face every time I nailed it.

I have no buzz at any RPM. I'm guessing you have a loose bolt somewhere.

Does it do it without the car moving? If it does, have someone rev it while you listen to the engine and see if you can find it.

It really sounds like it is coming from the butterfly valve. When I detach the vacume hose it goes away...!

No buzzing issues...in fact, my engine is running smoother than it was at stock.
Smoother cam change, strong at idle, smooth powerband ...

I ended up with a buzz at around that RPM. It turned out to be the support bracket that connects the manifold to the transmission. The bolt in to the tranny sheered off and the bracket was vibrating against the transmission. I put in a new bolt and all was good. Let us know what the issue is if you figure it out...

Yep, that was Shawn's problem too. We fixed it last week.

Good info. Thanks.

I had the issue and figured it out back in April or so, sorry I didn't see the post until last night as I could have probably saved you guys some time... It was a pain to try and find the noise as it sounded like it was coming from everywhere... Good deal on getting it sorted though and now there is a post here for any one else who may have the same issue to find.

I just had a similar vibration around 3,300 RPM that smoothed out at 4,000 RPM. After reading this thread I checked out the bracket mentioned above and look what I found!

It looks like the TIG weld broke first and then the vibration fatigued the metal and broke the transmission mount tab off.

I welding it back together and the car is fine once again.

BWR people, check those brackets!
