BWR Supercharger Kit

Randy let the cat out of the bag on his ASP thread, and as a consequence I've been getting a lot of phone calls and emails, so despite the fact that I was going to delay announcing this for a few weeks, here you go...
The dyno plot below is from our prototype kit. This kit is different from the system being put in place on Randy's car as it is not going to be SCCA legal for ASP class, and it uses a re-flashed factory ecu.

The BWR Supercharger Kit

Features:
The same Eaton supercharger used by Lotus in the Exige S.
A custom designed intake manifold specifically created for the Elise.
Re-flashed stock ECU with lower cam switchover for smoother torque delivery.

Price:
Stage 1 = $4950

Available:
December 1st, 2007

Because this kit was designed specifically for the Elise, installation is simple and straight forward, with no need to relocate things like the charcoal canister.

We are already in the process of obtaining CARB approval, and look to have that set shortly after the kit goes on sale.

The dyno plot shown above is indicative of the Stage 1 tune in that it was done with a stock intake and exhaust. For those of you craving more power, a straight forward upgrade path will allow further gains when used in conjunction with the custom intake and exhaust systems currently under development.

We should have the '06 & '07 tuning completed by the time the custom cast manifolds are ready in late November.

PES is correct.
They have been doing kits like these for years, and have a great deal of experience.

You dirty bastard!!! I just announced my next big expense was a kart and now you come out with an SC kit for a pretty decent price. Dammit!

That's great that it will be CARB approved and that it's the same kit as on the Exige S.

Maybe in a year's time I will be interested. The torque is impressive.

Quick question from those of us who are on the fence (well, me only)

why is it that BWR and S111 kit are the same with the only difference of ECU? Same SC, same pulley, same whole god damn thing!!! Even I think now the ECU is the same. wow!!! So how do we choose which one? It's better if it's different, but being the same with the difference of just ECU and price... you know what i mean? I am IN it for reliability

AND TWO announcements on the same day!! Talking about straight competition on the same board from the same area, LA!!!

I kinda like being RIGHT in between these two shops options. Who wants their kit heavily track tested? com'n....sponsor for time attack competitions? Good to see this coming around.

Installation cost or DIY ?>>

Is this SC intercooled?

Does the SC come with a proprietary intake/exhaust?

I don't think that's the only difference. If I'm reading what Robert is saying correctly, BWR's SC has a manifold specific to the Elise/Exige allowing it to not move the charcoal cannister.

2 of those 3 questions were already covered in this very thread. I'm not suggesting you search the archives. Just scroll up, man! :-)

I don't think anyone discussed installation costs though.
