This is a good point. Our early tune of the 2006 had an aftermarket exhaust that had really high backpressure and caused us to tweak the tune. The 2bular exhausts we sell are available in N/A and ForcedInduction flavors to accommodate the additional backpressure in the S/C w/o killing the torque on NA cars.

I can't really speak to the Larini. Jim Valentine of 2Bular has done exhaust design for over 20 years and has dialed them for the various flavors of cars vs. one size fits all. For my XP FrankenLotus we are doing some very interesting stuff!

Jean-Paul, as you are in Europe you can order directly from Jim. For NA folks they can get to Ultra-Lightweight I have forsale. In the parts thread.

I have a 8" Tubular GT3 that Fred and Jim Valentine suggested me last winter. Great exhaust for a supercharged engine ...!

can you perhaps give me some ocntact details. i had sent him once an e-mail regarding s na exhaust but he never replied. i guess he is very busy.

since i will be installing one of the two kits(bwr/katana) i need now an sc exhaust but if possible with not much more noise than stock (the same noise would be great) and the pipes coming out of the original difuser. i guess he can do that as far as i remember. if you get the time please gimme some contact details. thx.

p.s. still can' decide between the two kits !! unbelievable !!!

2Bular - Performance Exhausts

You should get the 8x24 diffuser exit exhaust for minimum noise. Additionally, for noise, either get the sport cat or keep the stock cat. Removing the cat adds about 6db.

i think we have discussed this thoroughly together Blacktan. if i don't find what i want how i want it, then yes i am going with the "No One" kit.

reliability of the engine and the peripherals is my main issue. some of us tend to keep our cars more than a week and not changing them as our sweaters

i have been waiting for this kit 4 years. some more months won't hurt me....

first, thx for the link. second, i am looking for an exhaust in the exige/elise sc section. right ?

is there any chance that he can get me a double tip exit so that it looks like the original exhaust but facing down as the old lotus sport stage 2 exhaust or the quicksilver titanium ?

boy is he that good in his job ??? i also saw the 4-1 header and looks great !!!that should do some work also !!

I've got a larini, sounds like I might want to consider some good clamps.

I'm still curious about what broke, out of safety rather than concern regarding semantics. I.e. did the exhaust pipe going into the muffler break off at the muffler? If you know what broke, it would be good to keep an eye on...

Thanks,

John

No, nothing broke. In both cars the exhaust system simply popped off (i.e. at the end of the U-shaped pipe after the cat).

I'm surprised to hear that's happening... it's generally pretty difficult to remove even the stock u-pipe from the muffler.

My header has a 3.5 mm larger u-pipe then stock so it takes some considerable force to install it but at least it won't pop out
