My supercharger is sitting on my workbench waiting for next weekend... Anyone have any luck contacting CharlieX? I tried with no success (yes, I know he's moving).

I have to pull the trigger on my tune very soon...

Matt

I left him a message too, I am a bit skeptical if he's able to have enough time to call back one guy like me. Maybe if we all get together and holler at him, he'll be able to hear us.

Anyone out there trying to gather some guys together and have Charlie come out to so-cal? I personally wouldn't need a customized dyno since most of my parts are still stock, but it would be great to have him there in person to double check AFR's and whatnot to confirm that the engine isn't running too lean or anything.

You could install a wideband O2 sensor and monitor the A/F yourself. Easy to do.
A wideband with data collection is even better. A $400.00 item that will give you good information now and down the road.

Depending on cost, I would be down for that as well...

Heh you don't need charlie to do that for you. The only point in bringing him out would be for a custom dyno tune! You can still gain power from a customized tune even with stock partd.

Going PES tune

I will be using the PES tune and I will report dyno charts and driving impressions with NO other modifications (exhaust, intake, etc.) in due time.

Yah, I'd definitely go with PES (quicker response) out of the box, but there are a few things I wanted Charlie to tweak on my ECU as well.

+infinity

Everyone running forced induction should have a wideband O2 gauge. It's probably the best investment you can make to prolong your engine.

Are you going to wait to install the header then?

I just switched from PES to Charlie's tune. NorCal 91 octane gas makes my car detonate under load. My friend who have the kit installed at the same time didn't have problem with PES tune though.

My car is very smooth now and doesn't detonate with the new tune, although I am still hearing some buzzing noise at 3k-3.5k under load.

Thanks again to Fred@BWR and Charlie for their help and quick responses throughout the process, and ForcedFed for the professional install!

Yes that is what it sounds like. Is it a concern, can I check it out myself or should I have ForcedFed look at it? I am going to have my car dynoed there anyways.

Charlie, thanks again for the quick turnaround and superb ECU reflash!

its really common, you can see quite a few threads on it here, nothing to worry about.

it tends to come and go as well.

no worries, have fun with it, maybe see you on skyline sometime.
