Well the bwr isn't really ready yet, and since it won't be til decemeber, i betcha they're only announcing it now since sector announced theirs common marketing ploy, plus they've not got 06+ solutions either, so they're still playing catch up on that front too, the sector kit has pretty much worldwide support on any model of the car, and any ecu.

I'd be more than happy to get into a competition with them, but they have to actually bring it out first

we also have the adaptive cam, dual maps, as well as a host of other little features i'm keeping a secret til later

shinoo already announced they were looking at seeking carb approval, just the same as BWR said, no difference there, if the kit was submitted for carb approval i see no reason it wouldn't pass.

andrew, fine by me i enjoy the challenges provided by the market and car, everytime something like this happens, i try to think of some more stuff to do, i just arrived in temecula to work on some new stuff that even lotus doesn't do, i'm really hoping it'll work though.

Yep, Sector is definitely ahead of us in terms of schedule.

But then it takes a bit longer to design a kit from scratch specifically for this car.

The bonus for the consumer is that you have options, and that you won't be the victims of monopoly type pricing.

And as far as the SC wars are concerned, look at it as the Blu Ray vs. HD DVD high definition wars:

Hey, everything is a common marketing ploy.

Offering aftermarket products? Common marketing ploy.
Suggesting they work well? Common marketing ploy.
Including instructions? Common marketing ploy.
Hinting at an upgrade path? Common marketing ploy.
Shipping products as ordered? Common marketing ploy.
Etc etc etc.

At least these guys bash the other's product in a polite, carefull, subtle way. Neither of them just starts making up crap about the competition. They're both respectable vendors.

Seriously...you California people ruin everything for us. j/k.

All I know is that the ECU solution will determine the victor of this war. They can build all the kits they want, it won't sell if the competitor's ECU solution runs the car better, faster, and more reliable.

It was a plague for the Celica GTS 2zz community, and it will continue to be a plague for the Lotus 2zz community should the EFI and guys like Charlie not be around...

I agree about the vendors sector 111, and BWR being first class in the way of business. I have had good experiences with both. IF the items were the same, I would surely choose the BWR one, just because of the way Ronin spouts off about how everything other than his thing is garbage, and the way he goes about it, it just shows a real lack orclass, or something more than that. I heard one vendor was even going to drop his product because of the way he rants and raves on the internet about things and has no tact or business sense, and they felt they didnt want to be associated with this, that it was just bad business to do so. I understand he didnt do this for the $, but the vendors are, and its not good to have some guy making you look badly just because you carry his product that he developed, and cant keep his big mouth shut.
Read about it on MM.
IF they are the same, I would go with the BWR for that reason alone, Sorry charlie, and sector 111.
IF they are not the same, then I would go for whichever is better in terms of performance AND servicablity/warranty bang for the buck, etc...............
A quality product should be able to speak for itself. and
