I still haven't figured out how/where to mount the MAP sensor. I bought a longer vacuum hose to free up some room, just haven't come up with a solution.

What is the purpose of this air-adder pipe? Besides adding air...

What should I do with the hose coming from the gas tank if I choose not to reinstall the charcoal canister apparatus? Do you think it would be a problem to reconnect it to the TB to elimnate any gas fumes from being released into the engine bay? Would it create a vacuum?

Apparently, to clamp in a bench vise while porting the manifold...

Map Sensor

Here's one of my favorite spots... Also did you get my email over the weekend regarding mounting the EFI in the cabin if you're interested... I added some pointers that may be helpful within the install instructions... Specifically section VIII (along with other bits and pieces throughout the whole manual). They're up on the website now, FWIW...

Take care,

Phil

I was just putting together my CAI. I had the TurboXS CAI and figured I would just reuse most it. I was measuring the ID and OD of the tubes and noticed there is an internal lip in the MAF tube that reduces the ID to 2.5". I was thinking of replacing it to eliminate the restriction from the MAF itself but using a full 3" tube should improve flow even more. I found everything I needed on intaketubing.com

Now I have to start buttoning things up. I also decided to install the BOE clam hinge. I'm just guessing I'll be in and out of the engine bay lots in the future.

I mounted the MAF and will be working on putting the interior together today. I haven't decided what to do about the charcoal canister. If I don't re-install it what should I do with the line from the tank? I can't find the thread on the motorcycle canister, anyone have a link?

Here is the replacement battery I ordered. Phil, any suggestions on relocating the battery? I know the directions haven't been updated yet. I 'll be putting time in on the clam hinge modification this weekend.

I started re-routing the battery cable across the firewall to the new battery location. It just about reaches, might be just a little short.

Sorry for crummy cam phone pics, but the camera is in the house, so I made do

Here you can see where the battery goes and the basic setup for deleting the charcoal canister.

RE the canister, you essentially cut the final solenoid from the canister and cut the quick connect line from the hard line coming from the tank and marry the two together as shown in the pic...

Hope this helps!

Best,

Phil
