Let me know if I can answer anything else for you guys.
Did they have to drop the tank and if they did, why?

Yes, they need to drop the fuel tank. My understanding is that Lotus had designed some sort of T-hose which would have eliminated the need to drop the tank. Unfortunately, this piece didn't pass muster with the CARB certification process, and now the tank needs to be dropped. This adds some additional time to the install.

How is the idle...steady? Any issues with the engine wanting to stall when coming to a stop?

No idle issues at all. In fact, prior to the install, upon starting my car I always had to blip the gas once or twice to get the car to idle steady. Now the car doesn't require that and if anything seems to be smoother all the way around. Not sure if it has to do with the new ECU, the new injectors, or a combination. As I said in an earlier post, the new set up feels completely stock, and IMHO, improved in every way.

Did you guys pay the total amount for sc kit when you place the order? Or did you just pay a deposit and then the balance when the sc kit arrived?

Thanks

I didn't pay anything until the install was complete and I picked it up. I offered to place a deposit, but Lee at Symbolic said it wasn't necessary.

Interesting. Same car, different treatment. I think most elise owners wouldn't just place an order and cancel it. Even if someone does that, the dealer still has the kit, a tangible, resaleable SC kit. But us, what do we have after we paid in full beforehand? Not much.

so these come with a lotus tunned ECU?

Do the factory cars come with the "SUPERCHARGED" manifold?

I'm not saying lotus dealers are going to cheat. But what if you order something, paid in full and find out it is out of stock and have to wait for 6 months. That wouldn't be good.

Anyone knows if the new ECU is just plug & play or if you need to set that up in order to run? Do you need special tool(s) for the new ECU setup?

Thanks

I'm guessing that it is plug and play as there is a $500 core charge if you keep the old ECU.

Any updates on how you're enjoying this? Are you used to the extra power and wanting more already?
Cheers,
Skottoman
