Great overview kaz.
I have not driven a supercharged Elise or Exige yet, so I can't comment, but I d love to sit in kaz's car sometime, it sounds awesome. As a recent FF 275 customer I can provide some of my own insights. I think the objection to the piping and the air rushing around the piping is as you say, purely conceptual. There is really nothing to break or cause any air disturbance. I had never owned a turbo car before so I don't have any previously concieved bias but above 3000 rpm, there is no lag as defined above. The car responds to throttle input just as fast as the N/A car. Now below 3000 rpms your right, there is a lag but if your driving this car right, you shouldn't be below 3000 rpms. I think this thread would be a wonderful place to add dynos as well. Not for one-up-manship, but to see want kind of power, and how that power is delivered for all to compare. I'll start with my FF 275 car.
