Since you guys have figured out how to re-flash our ECUs, do you plan on offering a performance ECU re-flash for naturally aspirated cars?

The price looks good and you're local (Southern Cal) so those are strong pluses.

But, I'm sure you've seen the Haas Turbo thread so I have to ask this question: What type of Beta testing have you done on the supercharger Elise? Thank you.

I know there have been alot of posts about this, but many got very long and sidetracked - but I assume this has been covered before...

but wouldn't it be possible or more ideal (or both) to lower the cam changeover farther? 5750 doesn't seem like much of a drop - wouldn't it be more beneficial to make it 4000 like the Exige S or even 5000?

Will there be an intercooler option?

thanks, and if someone tells me to use the search I will hunt you down and kill you.

The factory ecu wants to pull back any gains done to the car weather it's a turbo/supercharger or even your exhaust/intake mod's. We can still offer you the Xede engine computer w/ Chip upgrade to disable the learn function and dyno tune your car.

Thanks,

Mark

Anything doable for the East Coast folk other than cross country shipping?

For my '06, here are the bottom line numbers if I take it to Tri-Point for an avg increase in 50whp:

SC+all options+install/tune: $8803.94 + tax = $9530.27

that comes to $190.61/hp increase.

The look on my wife's face when she sees the bill: (not even) P R I C E L E S S

What da heck! I'll be in touch w/ you guys soon!

For the '06, the ECU Reflash only lowers the cam switchover. So what does this mean for me as an '06 owner, if I install the kit and the Xede etc., will I have to retune it often because of the learn feature in the ECU? What is the experience like for an owner of a 2006 model?

Thanks.

Mark, does the stock air filter box still fit or do you have to use an aftermarket intake because that throttle body to SC inlet casting was made for another car?

Maybe if there's enough East Coast people interested perhaps someone from Tripoint would make arrangements to come out. We could have a SC party!

A few questions:
- Any plans to seek CARB approval?
- I'm a bit confused about what's required on the ECU side of things. Is tuning required, or does the kit include a premapped ECU of some sorts?
- It seems odd that a non-learning ECU is sold as an option. Isn't that something we'd always require? Under what conditions would a learning ECU (ie, stock) coexist with your SC kit?

How about a larger pulley for about 5-6psi for those who do not want water injection or an intercooler. It should lose less than 10hp and 10 lb/ft since efficiency on the Eaton drops off but longevity and reliability should go way up.

Also... in relation to the recent HASS Pro Turbo debockle, is there any need to cut into any of the factory cars harnesses? Plug n Play would be ideal to ease in getting this back to stock.

The tuning is done with the Xede, not the stock ECU. Some basic tuning is required for optimum performance. You must have learning disabled on the stock ECU...on the '05 that is done with a chip swap (see my sig for ECU Update). If you don't disable learning, your stock ECU will continually attempt to override the Xede code feed and cause undesirable issues. Regarding the chip being sold as an option, that is something you'll need to ask Tri-Point about.

So if I have a 2006 Lotus Elise and want it installed, does this mean it's $6,750 out the door? Will the ECU try to change it? If that's the case, doesn't that mean that option 6 is a must?
