LOTUS ELISE TURBO TIMEATTACK 450HP

Who built this monster? Looks to be stroked to a 1.9L engine and a nice size turbo?

Err...was that video of the S1 or S2 Lotus with the Rover engine or the 2zz?

If it's the 2zz...anybody can have such a setup with the parts that are available for the engine...and just stiffen up the chassis so it's race car worthy.

Celica 2zz Engine Parts = Lotus 2zz Engine Parts.

Shouldn't you be bashing the video for having so much power in a Lotus at this point? Isn't 450 hp too much? That doesn't look fun or efficient at the racetrack at all...

Anyway...it wasn't a 2zz...but it still looked sick!

He waved the hand of anger at the Fensport 3S-GTE swapped, AWD 7th gen Celica that was converted to that setup by a bunch of brits

These track guys seriously have balls going that fast though with turbos...where the hell are superchargers in these awesome videos?

I designed the Audi installation in that car. We've upped the power a bit since that video, it's now running 518 BHP 373 ft/lbs with the option of using a 100 BHP shot of Nitrous on top of that. There should be a video of a 58.9 second lap of Silverstone coming up soon.

Superchargers can't get close to that kind of power, not on small engines anyway.

Bernard...welcome over here. I dont know if you remember me but you let me drive your red S1 Audi swap outside of Bedford Autodrome while I was visiting London a year or two ago.

I can vouge for these builds. That day I rode in a whole mix of lotus cars including K20 supercharged swaps but my favorite was the Audi Turbo swapped cars, tons of torque.

What gearbox is used in that setup?

Has somebody think over fitting vag dual-clutch dsg for 20vt swap? Is it too heavy or is it even possible to modify that gearbox working with only manual shifting mode (with for example shifter levers in wheel)?

Iv vw buggy weighting 470 kgs with 218 whp. But lack of controllability forces me to plan new projects... Maybe tbo lotus would be good for next project.

(sorry about my english)
