I found it interesting that both the rear/mid engine cars got 1:04's. The driver was all over the place in both the Elise and the Porsche. I don't think he's used to rear-weight bias cars.

Interesting... a K20A S/C Elise with a legend driving gets 1:04.

A Tripoint Elise w/ Ronin Intercooler and Frank driving gets 1:02.

So who is Joe, and why does everyone hate him?

I see a lot of chat about the Honda's over on the EU sites, but IMHO I'd rather live with a warranty, and easy resale - but then I like an easy life, and the Toyota mill is just fine by me - I'm having a blast with my car, and I can't ask for more than that!! :-))

The Honda conversions in Europe are largely (exclusively?) in older Elises with Rover engines and long out of warranty.

Well he does not appear to be an experienced Elise driver based on the in car video for one, he is braking or letting off the gas through most of the corners ! Wow the longer I watch the video the more I see how he does not get the Elises strong points at all ,wtf ? I am sorry he was chosen to apparently represent Lotus in this "event" In the start at about 1:05 he slams on the brakes coming into a corner and struggles to keep her on the road.

Well whomever was piloting, it appeard to be their first time in an Elise or a mid engined rear wheel drive car for that matter. I got the overall feeling of reaction and panic ,vs fluidity and confidence when watching the in car vid.
