Most likely dumb question about FI Exige availability

Sorry if this has been asked before and/or is a dumb question (I did a search and didn't see anything if that helps)...

Why are there so many more FI options for the Elise than the Exige? Is it because there is a much larger number of Elises, because it has been around longer, or maybe clearance issues? I am looking at getting a used Exige in the future but would probably want a bit more power than it would come with (I would be looking at an '06 or '07 Exige-S).

Thanks!

The Exige S is already supercharged.

The 06 Exige can use the Katana/BWR/VF1 & 2/TVS superchargers just like the Elise.
(Or even the Lotus mp45 kit.. or if you're feeling adventurous.. the Exige S kit.)

I'm not sure I understand your question. Any FI kit for the NA Elise will fit the NA Exige.

I guess my confusion came from looking at the sticky at the top. There were two seperate spreadsheets for the Elise and Exige, respectably. I assumed that since the Elise spreadsheet had certain FI applications that were not listed on the Exige spreadsheet they were only applicable to the Elise. Thanks for the clarification!

@Demonized: I know that the Exige-S already comes with a supercharger...I was just wanting something with more power.

Some of it may have been due to the 05 Elises using a throttle cable and then in 06 (the first year of the Exige) everything converted to Drive By Wire. So kits back in 06-07 were made specifically for 2005 Elises because they had no way of controlling the Drive By Wire. But that is not so much an issue now. The Exige has more room then an Elise in the engine bay so there is no limitation from that point of view.

Also your talking about 4-5000 Elises versus 300 06 Exiges that were not sold with forced induction...some places may not mention them because they may have just overlooked the 06 Exige.
