One year review of my REV400
REV400, Nikasil SB, Jim Clayton Ported Head, stock un opened trans (Fidanza V2 Clutch/Flywheel) after ~10 plus track day weekends, in fastest groups
WOW! I have not had my car on a dyno (on my to do’s list) but I have a conservative tune. Last track example with my 05 Elise in the advanced group at the Autobahn Country Club track outside Chicago. This was my first time on the track on my 3rd sessions. All other's in group are local regular’s with some good drivers (GT-R’s, STU mod Vette's, Porsche’s...) with each coming to talk to me after the session asking, what do you have in that! The guy in the Vette came up and said sorry I saw you on my rear in the turn but thought after the straight you would be gone Autobahn Country Club Lotus Elise BOE REV400 SC - YouTube

My favorite was when a GT3 guy came over to say.
" Your not much through the turn but I can't keep up on the straight " I have gotten slow and lazy on corners, a little shrinkage in my old age. |

Does mean there now exists a tune for a rev300 with a CAB? Stock cat and exhaust? My recollection was that this was not a ready option a while back...

Did some comparative runs...
Had a Katana car on the rollers the other day, just a week after a Rev300 car. Both were pretty stock. The Rev300 car was on a cooler day, but not a lot cooler. Rev300 had our intake. Katana did not. That's not worth a ton though. We had recently serviced both cars and they're both mechanically sound and well sorted. Both running the stock cat and aftermarket mufflers. The Katana and our Rev250 will perform nearly identical FWIW...

Every year I meet the same two guys for a weekend at Pocono with NASA. This past summer I had upgraded to REV400 from the old TVS. These two guys have identical Toyota spec racers. They look like little Radicals and are darn fast. I could keep pace with the slower of the two drivers but never the faster. This year when we hit the front straight I blew by him like he was in reverse on up to "inner chicken" limited 152mph. Scared the crap out of me as the car with no aero got a bit light. The faster of the two guys later asked WTF did you do to that thing.

As with all non-IC'd systems, the power will vary a lot based on the conditions the dyno's were done, etc. On a relative basis, I think the below dyno comparing the Rev300 (stock headers, decat, good muffler) with a Katana/Rev250 of similar specifications. Same dyno, about a week apart in time, similar conditions, etc... The Rev300 is a much stronger car setup. Numbers are wheel horsepower and SAE corrected.

Unless they have changed the kit since last year (when I installed mine), it doesn't come with the airbox or a new throttle body, but it does come with the intake *manifold*. I have also installed the TRD airbox - I think it may be responsible in part for the excessive loudness of the motor under load now, but I am waiting until my exhaust is fixed before passing judgement.

So for some clarification on the intake questions...
Since the launch of the system a couple years back, we now have a large number of them in circulation. We've certainly made revisions here and there. While the revisions have typically added cost to us, we have also been able to get better pricing on some items and have become more efficient in our production and tuning processes. Rather than "pocketing" the difference, we elected to include the ITG intake with the TVS based (300 and 400) kits. This changed starting with the 2012 black friday sale. They are also available for previous purchases on the website. The ITG setup does provide for consistant power delivery since it brings in air from outside the engine bay. We have also properly calibrated the tunes to work with the flow characteristics of the system. There are several pictures of the setup throughout this thread. Also added pics and info to the website Here: BOE Fabrication - Lotus Elise, Exige, and Evora Performance ECM Tuning Products and care and installation here: BOE Fabrication - Lotus Elise, Exige, and Evora Performance ECM Tuning Products Hope that helps, Phil
