Toyota Forum/Toronto tuners

all this talk about FI has got me seriously thinking about it. I'm trying to find a good tuner in Toronto. I thought I would try some Toyota forums for suggestions. Any recommendations? Toyotanation sucks so far. No one even said "welcome" when I introduced myself (unlike here).

If we can find a good tuner in toronto and a few of us want to go FI maybe we can do some kind of group buy and get a discount. This would be nice considering we have to deal with the exchange rate, taxes/ duties and shipping. I'm guessing the Forcedfed set up would probably put us back at least C$12,500 in parts alone.

You can always get a bunch of cars together and just pay to have a good tuner flown in

I would suggest you look up little rocket or red rocket I forget what it was sorry but his a good source for info. To date he has done 40 or so swaps for the mr2 crowd in placing a 2zz motor into the mrs spyder and knows these motors inside and out. You can find him here actually or spyder chat. Newcelica does have lots of info but spyder chat is very limited in info in my preferance. Or look up mr2oc.com for a great place to find lots of info about FI applications. Umm avoid Chris K at engine logics. For good tuners look up NoShoes ask him a few things or ATSArron at ATS racing they know a few things about how to turbo a MS car right.

For ECU tuning, I would strongly endorse RickyB at MRControls.com his based in the bay area and could make a nemisis walk on water if you asked him. Hope this info is useful.

Try the Ontario MR2 Club Forum. They can probably point you in the right direction.

Toronto Tuner

There is a new shop with very experienced fellas in it that do in house exhaust manifolds, turbo set ups, engine builds, etc, attached to JRP in Mississauga. They have an 07 Exige S there on the hoist and it is rumored that they are going to get approx 410 whp out of it when it's done. The s/c is coming off, the motor is being built up and a turbo is going on. Contact Derek Trefry there, he runs the shop. 905-822-7223

Interesting that they are dropping the s/c for a turbo. They should have just bought a used '06 Elise. I'd like to see their end result. Hopefully they'll post the results here.

It's actually a single turbo set up they are doing on it. Race ya to the spare parts bin.. ( garbage can for the s/c )
