Cory...I did this thread enough of a disservice by getting off topic...which I apologize for...but going further off topic to argue with you will just make things worse.

The DC sports shorty header bolted right up to Dave's car. All of these headers should have the same dimensions, as they are meant to be replacements for the stock header. There's no getting around this fact. They will fit the Lotus vehicles. Also, I could have posted up this nice product months ago, but I thought I'd leave it to be a surprise at the gains it could make on a Lotus if my 06 Lotus Elise friend stuck it onto his build. He's still unsure as to what header is best for him, so he is sticking with the stock one for now.

As for posting up the cheapest price from doing a Google Product Search search, it made my thread look like I was a vendor. A simple mistake I did on other sites with no problem, but it seemed to be a problem here, and made me looked like a non-supporting vendor. I cleared the issue up with the admin, and he even thanked me for showing support for the Lotus community:

Ah ok, gatchya.

I will edit the thread. Feel free to take the price off!

No thank you . I just wanted to show Lotus owners that there's a nice, cheap, shorty header that they can purchase after doing a Google Product Search search for it since nobody runs it here. Nothing more. I'm not affiliated with that particular website. I even went on to say that they're free to purchase the header from other websites that offer better return policies. Sorry for the confusion! Just a fellow car enthusiast!

Sincerely,
Cameron
So please, stop getting threads further off topic just because you want to invalidate nice information I bring to this site. And as for Weapon R not developing anything or being a vendor, they were a vendor under the guise as exigemotorworks (sp?),which had their race headers and intakes first sold under that name here before they became know as Weapon R products.

Yes, I can wait for the ForcedFed header...think I said that already.

Not sure why you're pushing this Weapon-R, twice you repeated the price.

Hell I even went to find out more about this Weapon-R and their web site, it was a bad experience (hint, any site that uses bikini women to advertise car products has already lost about 100 points of respect) and nothing listed about it fitting and working with an Exige S.

In fact, one "retailer" they listed called it an "Eclise" -- is this some hybrid car that was an Eclipse and got morphed into an Elise and is now a header for an Eclise?

When advertising a product, they really do need to watch for typing errors as it ain't the same as folks posting on forums like this where typos are the norm. It makes me wonder if the site is even legit and just a scam site to get folks CC info.

To each his own. The few review threads made about the gains it produced were good over at newcelica.org. No need to reinvent the wheel, no matter how cheap the existing wheel is, IMO.

Good luck waiting for the forcedfed header to come out.

Well - guess what happened during dyno tuning today?

Mileage was about 22k.

I am getting a new ACT clutch and Toda flywheel installed. Unfortunately, that means I won't have the car back in time for the GGLC autocross this weekend

Man, I can't wait to have my car back next week

Good choice on the ACT clutch, my Toda clutch is dragging (aka push in clutch pedal and doesn't disengage) and not sure exactly why - perhaps the clutch springs are too much for the hydrolic slave unit?

That reminds me, I need to call FF and get the skinny.

Did FF figure out what happened to your engine yet? I think our cars are sitting next to each other over there right now

It's back!!

I picked up the car this pm - stalled it pulling out of their driveway HAHA - I guess I need to get used to the new clutch.

So far, all I can say is

The sound alone is worth it, IMO Goes something like "wheeeeeeee-pfsshhhhh"

On the freeway driving back to work, there were a couple of times where I wanted to shift up just to find I was already in 6th gear - it pulls so well

I can't wait to go for a run through the hills tonight.
