It depends . Mostly work on it on saturdays ,few hours on sunday .Also a friend of mine been helping me with it . There have been weeks when I have spend maybe 30+ hours ,there been times when I havent touched it weeks . Its hard to have day job ,family and find enough time for projects like this .It realy depends what you working on .Bodywork is defenately most boring part ,with all the curves and angles most of it had to be done by hand its been a drag . Now after it been painted I'll be puting in some hours can't wait to finish it ,most importantly no more dust and mess in the garage .Spend 4 hours cleaning everything up today .

intended as a track only car - did you ever think of going even more extreme similar to a 340R?? could've saved a lot of weight that way possibly.

i think what you have done looks terrific even if i'm not a fan of the headlights - the justification of them is apt! i'm assuming the only drive you've had was the one mentioned back on page 1?? what track based changes will you go for??

Finlly after a long time of bodywork, could for a change enjoy working on car . Did all the bolt on parts . Oil pan, air intake, mirrors, toe link brace, sway bar , brake cooling lines in front and back, relocated battery, have put it in the middle behind the seats .Put 6lbs Braille battery in it ,just in case need to jump or charge it will be easy access. Here are few pictures . Started on carbon fiber will post some more after its done .

looks great!! I love how you routed the brake duct air intake tube into the round openings in the side skirts. A very intuitive solution, and actually makes those opening functional for cooling

Track only .

The closer Im getting to finishing this , less and less free time I have to work on it . Here are few pictures of CF. There are some imperfections , but for the first try I think looks ok .
Did some changes with seats . Im 6'2 , helmet was touching the roll bar ,moved seat forward and made it recline more . now there is about 1,5 inches between roll bar and helmet . Also got rid of those heavy seat rails . Thats another 10 lbs saved . Made aluminum brackets for both seats .

You my friend are a pro. Absolutely Gorgeous! Can I ask what kind of resin you used on the cf for the splitter and sill? I have tried this technique before and could not find a good clear resin. My parts had a hint of yellow to them.

Thanks
Erick

Looks great bro. I definitely think you need a different wing (say APR) and to powdercoat the mounting brackets black. This little project did come together nicely.

I've never done CF, but I've used Polyester Resin, and that dries pretty clear.

Epoxy is best with Carbon Fiber - Resin Services makes some fairly clear epoxies. I use West Systems - even though it is amber, it looks very clear once you sand and clear coat with urethane.
