Thanks...
'Climate box' 8.772 lbs (AC evaporator, heater core, hot/cold flapper door, plastic box)

The heater core itself is heavy because it is copper, not alumimum.

For as much as i like Elise from technical standpoint there is just as much visual details that ,in my opinion ,could have been done diferent . Stock mirrors Is defenately one of them .
I have bought one ,then another set of mirrors and neather one of them looked wright . One set was so cheaply made probably couldnt withstand more than 80 mile /hour wind ,the other F1 style carbon fiber just looked cheap . Its been bugging me for a while just couldn come up with good solution ,until found really cool set . Thay are aftermarked ones for Suzuki GSXR 1000 . Had to redo several times mirror area to make it work for each set of mirrors . And was wery pleased with the way it turned out . these will be bolted straight to the door .

Wow! Just Wow!

I'm going to jump the gun and ask "What exterior and interior colors are you shooting for?"

May I suggest Aspen White

Well it hasnt been decided for sure but so far on the table are : House of kolor Cobalt Blue or burgandy , Kawasaki green , 3 stage Lamborghini orange . I would like to paint it single stage paint just in case there is a fender bender (in this case fender crack ) on the track you can fix and repaint part . 3 stage paints and multi layerd candy colours is much harder to mach . but they look much better . so havent decided for sure but i'm strongly leaning towards orange .

Took me a while to get front hood cover pieces to fit proper . Had to lower ABS box by about 1". driver side has some weird shape to it because ABS and brake master cylinder .

Definitely go bright... Orange would kick arse. Stay away from the dark colors because they will show all imperfections in the body work. If you go with a bright color be sure to give it a nice white base coat or the bondo spots etc will show threw as darker splotches / discoloration in the paint.

Lambo orange is win! No question about it!

You're really doing an extreme makeover for this Elise. I bet it's just as happy as those people who get their makeovers on the TV show. God bless you for giving this Elise another shot at life - and what a life it will be!

lambo green pearl - great color but not my cup of tee . As far as paint I have already spend good 45 min in paint store going through diferent samples of paint . went from one to another and back several times . So far cobalt blue or lambo orange . Next time im there will try to order pint of orange Arancio Atlas maybe paint one door see how it looks .
Mean while there was HUGE progress . It was realy morale boost , after seeing car in 5 diferent fiberglass and bodyfiller colors for about 9 months sprayed it with quick sand . If one is not familiar with ,itis sprayable glaze . Two coats easily smooth out 36 grid sand paper scratches . There are some spots that need to be touched up but overall it turned out great . Next getting rocker mouldings and front clam done .
the bottom picture shows how much bodywork it took on rear clam and rocker right before spraying

Incredible job! I have to admit I had some doubts when I saw the car in it's original state of purchase. Now, I can wait for to see the finished project.
