This is really awesome how much work you're putting into this car!

Like Madden, the front end is still kinda questionable IMO, but seeing someone put this much effort into a project is always really excellent. Can't wait for updates!!!

There are several reasons why I have changed headlights . Needless to say the original ones were crushed in accident . After changing shape of clam the original headlights follow completely diferent lines .there are only about 3 " of clearance where the top of headlight should have been between wheel and and fiberglass and im going to lower car by 1,25". there would be not enough clearance specialy when cornering . Im even going to put lower profile tires just to make sure it is not rubbing on bottom of clam . Another thing is the weight Lotus headlights are farely heavy guessing close to 5 lbs the ones im putting in around 1lbs for all 4 of them . At least it will compensate for all bondo im putting on it After all the only purpuse of this wehicle is track .

Thats a good question.Does anybody know the weight of stock front and rear clams and doors . Ill try to weigh mine . Im guesing rear clam is close to stock it has few extra lbs of fiberglass but the trunk space has been removed . doors are a bit heavier than stock but with no windows and regulators, tracks ,locks they are lighter than complete stock door asembly . As far as front clam im sure its packing good 10-15 lbs on top of stock one.

The progress with the quick sand is amazing-- it looks professional! The work done on this project is quite inspirational. Will you be attaching a rear spoiler, or are you keeping it as is?

Great work man, like the rest of the forum can't wait to see finished product. I am curious about the cost of all the materials used, if you don't mind me asking. It's cool if you choose to not tell. Just very curious on cost of a project such as this. Simple changes yet a lot of fab work going into the project.

Again it looks great good luck with the final stages.

Im sure between bondo ,fiberglass ,glaze ,sandpaper, primer , paint will be over $1000 . Aluminum another 600 or so i still have to make fear difuser . And then mirrors ,2 harnesses , spoiler, carbon exhaust ,sector 111 toe brace , BWR track sway bar , nitrons , RAC monolites .....
Here are few pictures of the side skirts . they not completely finished but it'll give you an idea of final look of the car

Maybe silver like the Boxter Prototype. You already have the red interior.
