I don't know how i missed this before. Its looking fantastic. A little unsure on that front, but i'm reserving my final judgment for the painted final version. You have some great skill with fiberglass.

I want to see how the front clam and the doors are going to come together. Surely that massive step down isn't going to stay, right?

I think Consiso is Italian for Mallard.

In all of these pictures none of the parts are bolded on . I still have to redo engine cover to mount spoiler to the frame .Once the front parts are sprayed everything has to be secured and then have to work on final bodywork and all the gaps between ,clams ,hood pieces . Once aerocatch latches are installed it will pull the corners of front clam flush with the top part of the door . I think thats what you ment by step down .

awesome! just stumbled on this!!! ...dude, you should pull some molds before final paint.

...then if you crack it up you can replace the clams with lighter stronger units !!

or sell them...

keep up the amazing work and effort!

My one concern about the front is that it has very curvaceous, soft lines, whereas the rest of the car is extremely hard-edged. I think you should consider working some sharper angles in there before finishing it off. May be in your plan already, though.

Also, the little air inlets in front of the rear fenders don't really flow with the rest of the bodywork too well. I think you should build up the area around them so they look like cutouts from the panel rather than tack-ons. That would also make them consistent with the Esprit's rocker-panel inlets, giving your car a more recognizable "Lotus" look. (Also, am I mad or does the left one protrude more than the right one? Might just be lighting.)

Just my 2 cents. Really... that's all it's worth!

Great looking Neon .like the color . Sprayable bondo or glaze you can find in any auto paint store or website . Most common I think is slick sand . If you do a lot of dodywork it is great stuff . instead of going through diferent grid sand paper you can put 2 coats on top of 36 or 40 grid and fine sand it. Plus it has some shine to it so you can see how straight bodywork is .

As far as rear brake cooling ducts they are the same style as headlights they go half way in and half way out of the bodyline . Originaly I thought about smothing out the sharp edge on top of the door and rear but more i looked at it the more i liked it gives more agressive character to the car . the front clam has cut outs in front of the wheels and all the air intakes so there are some sharp edges too . And the whole Lotus look , anyone who is familiar with Elise will recognise that its Lotus .
Looking at the car now there are few things that could have been done diferent , but trying to change and create new lines and look from scratch its harder than one might think .

I think its just an optical illusion, but in a few of the pictures above it almost looks like the front wheels are set further out than the back ones. are my eyes just playing tricks on me?
