I'm a Pagani fan so I dig the headlights... and the rest of the car!

Great job!

i tihnk what steve ment is that the rear end lines are hard, clean sharp edges. but the front end edges are soft rounder edges, so that the front and rear look a little different (not so much in the shape - just the radius of the edges) and i am not sure which i prefer?!?!- anyways - it looks awesome and keep going man!!!!

Here's a paint idea that could at once solve your headlight spacing issues and the angularity issue with the front end... will also make it look more Elise-ish.

Im sure for some people the chages that were made to the car are a little too much outside the box , but take it for what it is .This car will never be driven on the street nor it will be in a car show . In my opinion for a track vehicle it looks pretty damn good.....
Been working on spoiler mounting and rear defuser . The exhaust is finished other then oxygen sensors they still need to be mounted .
Rear spoiler turned out to be a major problem .It had to be mounted on lid because putting it on rear clam looked out or proportion the car becomes much more narrow in the back . Wanted to have easy access to the engine so spoiler couldnt be bolted straight to brackets that would go to the frame . Rear trunk walls were removed so it had little suport . End up making one set of brackets to secure spoiler to the lid and another bracket that would go from the frame . back lid is held by 2 aerocatch latches . Turned out very strong and easy to open .
Rear defuser is not finished messed up one of aluminum pieces have to buy new one .
these are pictures in middle of the work will post some when lid and defuser are finished

1. Is the wing adjustable, and is it wide enough?
2. Is the exhaust from a motorcycle?
3. If this is going to be a track car, what are you plans for the powerplant and transmission?

Nagging aside, thanks for the update!!

Hi all,

Since this is my first post in this Forum, I should first greet you all :-)

Back to the last pictures:

Dapcius:

I followed the amazing work you did on the Elise for a long time, and I had no reason to object to anything you did.
It was great work and saying nothing was approval.

Smoseley:
I would like to express my opinion about the black painting around the lights:

IMHO, this looks wrong.
Of course, just saying it is easy and I will detail a little:

These cars are about not compromising.
They are about telling the truth: this car is a "no-BS car" and everything made on it goes that way... untill the fake painted lights.

A great decoration painting is a painting that underlines what is already there.
The lights are small and round... but painting long fake pointy shapes on them? Where is the logic? More important: where is the beauty?

The minimalistic lights are what make this car unique. Let them stand by themselves. They tell more about the owner mindset and his car than anything else!

The car should stand for itself and the mods should speak for themselves.

If the owner really wants to decorate his amazing car, then I would suggest a massive deco like on the 211: a graphic that catch the eyes but still follow the main lines of the body of your car.

Tomorrow I'll post pictures of the completed defuser . I end up redoing whole thing . made it 5 sections across with wider and shorter section in the middle .
Exhaust ,the only reason why I have used it from headder back its less than 5 lbs . it does have pretty loud rumble , as suited for race car . Im sure engine can breathe easier though Im not sure about added performance , but you can't argue about weight savings. Guesing +/- 30lbs over stock .
The spoiler ill make adjustable brackets for it and will try to get JSP racing writing off . other than that it will work just like any other ....
Will post some more pictures , also started on roof today . so far went pretty good .
As far as engine , I cant wait to take it to the track , its been in garage for too long as it is , right now Ill leave engine alone Moroso oil pan and air intake thats all Im doing .
To be continued .....

Very awesome progress. I'm no pro but i do agree with what Christophe111 had to say just so you keep in consideration (about paint scheme). Anyways, you are right. Anybody who owns a lotus will realize what this car is or was supposed to be, & that is being a Lotus. Whether they think it was a kit car or not.
p.s. I'm a subscriber for sure & can't wait to see the rear defuser completed.

Couple shots of the defuser . Havent put any rivits thats why its being held by clamps and 4x4 , its much easier to sand it when it is in separate pieces . Will paint it flat black . I thing turned out pretty good . will put tow hook on right side of the exhaust .
Also took couple shots when I had it outside .

That diffuser came out really good. After you get the rivets in, post some more detaled pics.

Couple pictures of the aluminum brackets that hold the engine cover , will make another set of brackets that will hold difuser in place . Difuser is sanded and rivited but still held in place by 4x4. Aerocatch latches in front were a bit of challange , the area where they are mounted is not flat . there were almost 1/4" gaps in front and back . Had to heat them with torch and bend them to follow the body shape . Turned out pretty good.
Got everything bolted on , started on final bodywork . I want that bodywork to look perfect , and its taking a while .
