I love the new CF and alcantara interior, it definitely gives the Cup Car that race car look. Also notice that both seats match now... that was the one thing that bothered me about the previous Cup Cars. All it needs is either an alcantara or CF steering wheel to match the rest of the interior.

The initial 20hp bump of the 240 wasn't all that convincing, but 40hp bump is not something to ignore. Would Charlie's Gotham tune yield the same results, or no?

2076 / 260 = 7.98 lb/HP... That's identical to the new Carrera S. 3075 / 385

EDIT: I made a mistake. Carrera S's curb weight is 3,131, making that # 8.13 lb/HP. So the Exige 260 will have a better power to weight figure than a Carrera S. NOT BAD!!!

The S 260 should weight less than 2076 lb, sooooo, it will be even better!

I'm gonna guess between $68000-$69000... Breaking $70k might be bad for Lotus... Even though optioned out the cars will no doubt exceed $70k. It's psychological !

Just my guess...

I haven't noticed mesh on the inlet of the roof scoop before, and maybe it is like that on all models. If this is not new, is this something that people are leaving or removing for better air flow (and to catch birds)? Thanks,

It is stock on the 240's.. official fettle rules I think say to remove it (but the s220 was the example). I left mine on (so far).

wait, as a finance guy, shouldnt i be able to figure this out?

If MSRP is about 46k pounds (incl tax) or 68k EUR...arent we looking at $82k - 95k U.S.? Tax would save us some $ but not all the way down to $69k

You're optimistic, BM!

Think about how much the weight reduction adds to the price... $100k US Pesos, at least.

BM must mean the street S260 version. Question: If you got a personal message from BavMo in the evening, would that be PM BM? [Not meant to offend]

The correct way to look at it is by a % increase in price relative to the year before and not the absolute conversion price from another country. For example, if the 09 is 5% more in England from 08 to 09, I'll bet we have a 5% increase in price or close here.

I certainly hope so...

Very nicely done interior. Now, why couldn't they start like that to begin with?

I was thinking of the street version, sorry. If I'm not mistaken, previous cup cars in the US have sold for up to near $100k if fully optioned... $82k would be a steal.

The tailgate could only mean the engine lid, huh? What do you think about the rear window being replaced by a composite piece?
