Not sure if you got the answer as to how to contact HyperSport Engineering, but for the person who is still interested:
Kirt Wightman HyperSport Engineering 2121 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Buford, Ga. 30518 phone 678-714-5346 I had the rear clamshell modification installed and the rollcage with driver harness system installed. They did a fabulous job. Highly recommended upgrade. |

No it doesn't. A "full cage" has meaning and can't be thrown around at any car that happens to have 4 points that stick up higher than the top of your head. In a cage, there would be cross members that join the 2 pts in the rear with the 2 pts in the front.
Other nits: If you want to install a cage, you might as well make it comply with some sanctioning body. And that would mean that the tubing diameter, strength, and I think even the welds would all be to a higher standard than the points you are referring to. For instance, people often say "Don't put your weight on the windshield when you climb out of the car." Nobody would ever say that about a rollcage. The purpose of the a pillars are to minimize the amount of intrusion of the ground into the cabin and they often work reasonably well. The purpose of a cage is to support the weight of the car without deforming at all even in a multiple roll accident. You may have heard that the rollhoop is 4 pt and it might be. I've never looked under the skin. A 4 pt rollbar is a single hoop that goes over the head and then 2 extra members (one on each side) that flare out and attach to something else (the frame probably) and give extra support to the hoop.

I can also give a two thumbs up to Hypersport - I did some work with them earlier this year - great bunch of guys - here's a pic I did of one of their drivers. Someone said he pretends to be a doctor at work, which I know nothing about, but I can tell you he is one hell of a driver!

Oil Starvation...... Yes it is possible and has happened. If you plan on running tracks with long sweepers and slicks you can pull enough G's to hold the small amount of oil in the pan away from the pickup long enough to do damage.
Don't be blind to it, get a dummy oil light for $30.00. It will glow bright at you if oil pressure drops below 30 # in the line and you can get off the gas and shut down the car without further damage. If you want to be really safe get a baffled oil pan. After that an accusump. I have all 3 on my "S", but I only use it on the track and would rather shell out $1500 now than $10,000 when it blows up. If nothing else, spend the $30 and get the dummy oil light, Robb |

Obviously Im going to be biased but you should look into a cup car that has all the mods I.E. roll bar, accusump, brakes etc.
After "building up" a few race cars, I can attest to "fastory built" ones. They usually run less money and work better. I am a tall 6'1 and fit fine with a helmet. P.S. I happen to know where a cup car is thats for sale and its well under the $100k mark.

At 6'3", your headroom should be adequate with the seat lowered, but be aware that your knees/shins will ride higher with the Sector 111 lowering kit.

^^That is what I thought. It is funny to hear guys at 5,11 having a hard time fitting
when others at 6,4-6,5 fit. I think when you are taller you just learn that you have to make things fit. I remember seeing Top Gear from England where the host is 6,5 and fit into the car snug I might add. So as long as you are somewhat proportionate you should be able to fit. If you are a torso with feet then forget about it ![]() Last edited by Kouki Monster : 10-11-2007 at 11:05 AM. |

The warning light ties into the gauges adjustable "alarm/warning" setting via the Defi control unit pictured below -- LED warnig light will go off whenever your oil pressure or oil temperature goes beyond the limit you pre-set. Gets your attention quickly so you know something is wrong and you can immediately check your gauges and stop the car if necessary

Then I was kindly pointed to Kent at Premiere Sports Car Service here in Las Vegas who is rated as a top race car mechanic nationally but only works on Porsche Race cars. However he got to know my car pretty well while correcting the poor installation by Lotus and he might take on another client if you call him. Premiere's # is 702-649-8267. Good Luck! Robb |

In case you where asking me, I bought the Oil Dummy Light at American Racing Supply here in Las Vegas. I think they have a website too. The Accusump and Moroso Oil Pan are from ForceFed. I also went with an oil temp and boost guage with dual pods from them. good luck, Robb |
