Dear Mr. Fried

Dear Mr. Fried:

Due to a minor administrative oversight at Deity Central, we must modify your status as Saint Lotus. It appears that the position has already been filled by C. Chapman, deceased. Since his unfortunate demise, communication with him has been spotty, if not to say nonexistent, and our efforts to shift his status to Saint Lotus Emeritus, have proven fruitless. However, we are pleased to announce your anointment as Saint 2-Eleven, Patron Saint of Fledging Owners Who Haven’t a Freakin’ Clue and Those Who Do.

Regarding your inquiry about contributions; that is, of course, an option available to all Saints, but it does involve shedding the corporeal body, which many members choose to defer.

We congratulate you on your anointment and sincerely thank you for the selfless assistance you have provided countless Lotus owners new and old.

Dear Mr. Fried:

Due to a minor administrative oversight at Deity Central, we must modify your status as Saint 2-Eleven. In light of the magnitude of the Saintly duties and the overwhelming burden they represent. and in recognition of the generous help provided by Mr. Patrick O’Neill, you are hereby elevated to and re-anointed Co-Saint 2-Eleven, Patron Saint of Fledging Owners Who Haven’t a Freakin’ Clue and Those Who Do.

Godspeed.

I know; I tend to be abstruse when euphoric.

Literal translation: Thanks Jack and Patrick. I greatly appreciate your help as do so many other Lotus owners.
