Fitting Lotus sports rollcage in Exige

Hi all,

I note that the Lotus sport rollcage (cup240 style) is supposed to be fitted to cars that have a 'T45 roll over bar fitted (part no. A122A0046F)'

Is this the rollover loop thats standard on 2006 Exige? If not what is the difference between the standard 06 exige roll over loop and the A122A0046F one? Are the struts the same? If the difference is just the central mounting boss perhaps I could weld one to my rollover loop and then fit the Lotus sport rollcage.....?..or are the rear struts different?

Anyone done this or know if its doable?

Cheers
m

I've been looking into this as well. What I've been told is, the t45 hoop & rear section comes with the track pack option only, however, some 06 exiges came with the t45 without the track pack.

The material (T45)is different, but functionally I think that the standard and T45 hoops are the similar.
I would put out a feeler for used T45 hoop.
You don't want to be welding on your hoop.
The other option would be to remove your current hoop and put in a welded in cage.
