Quiznos Exige finishes 3rd - NEED MORE POWER

Okay, after winning the Central America Championship in 2006, the competition has stepped up and brought in some 250 to 300 HP cars from the British Touring Car series, Speed World Challenge, and Grand Am Cup.

In the first race of 2007, we finished 3rd. I am not happy. This year is going to be tough unless I can get some more power or harder springs.

We currently dyno 177HP at the wheels. We are stock except for a JanSpeed Header and re-programmed ECU. We can not turbocharge or supercharge. Has anyone tried the TRD Pistons for our motor? They are supposed to increase HP by 15.

The car is currently 1810 pounds and we are running the US Cup Car Spring rates (456 front - 571 rear) and series required Hankook Slicks. Has anyone found a suspension with harder spring rates?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Call Hyperco http://www.hypercoils.com/ and tell them the rate you want and they'll make it. Or for a quick and dirty alternative, find someone with a spring rate tester, keep cutting a little off, check the rate and then raise the perches back up accordingly.

Did this car start off life as a CUP or N/A Exige? How did you lose weight to get to 1810? What is the minimum weight you can run?

Go to moremonkey.com and talk to those boys. They are crazy elise and exige tuners and will help you out. Most people here just want to know what color to paint their shift knob.

Hey!! That was uncalled for...

I know exactly what color to paint my knob.

Actually, there's a tremendous amount of tech info here, if you know how to look for it.

And, we don't cuss as much either...

True, you must have a tolerance for harsh language at moremonkey.com but there are no BS comments. This guy is SERIOUS with SERIOUS sponsors who give him SERIOUS $$ to race with. He does not have time for these "hot chick" comments guys. There is a time and place.

I was just about to post yet another comment about how you can't deny that there are a lot of good things going on with that girl. But of course, the color of my shift knob is a much bigger deal.

no one here has bought the 13:1 pistons. The whole kit gives you 20 more hp. Link below. You can install some cams, but from what we've seen here they don't give much more power. If you search for cams you'll find out.

http://trdparts.jp/english/parts_2zz-engine.html

also search for C-One transmission. Beat has one installed.
