No, but I know that they have something in the pipeline - and I'm excited as I consider it to be the most viable option on the market. After spending $1300 for the DBAs, I was pretty disappointed to see them wearing faster than the OEM rotors...

so what did you mean when you posted this about stoptech rotors giving 33% more life? by "last car" are you speaking about something other than a lotus?

I also went with the DBA rotors but I do believe that the EBCs are better than stock . I know of a couple people running them hard on track and they hold up better than the stock rotors.

John, stoptech? Please Explain.

I spoke with one of the stoptech founders at the track and he said they were finally starting to build kits to work on smaller wheels and that if the community expressed enough interest they might look into make them to fit our cars but at the time there were no plans. If they hace indeed come out with something that fits please do tell, I have had some of the best customer service dealings with Stoptech in the past and would fully support any new developements they have for our cars.

edit: DOH I skipped over the "last car" part of that statement. I also ran Stopetechs on my Audi TT in the past and loved them.

I got about 2000 more miles on the StopTechs than I did on the DBAs, and the DBAs wore thin quicker. The StopTechs didn't wear thin as much as over time spider crack. Yes, this was a different car, but one that took harder beating on the brakes due to being 1200 - 1300lbs heavier (with driver).

I asked somebody I knew over there when I got my car back in the end of May if they ever intended to produce a OEM replacement rotor in a 2-piece design for our car. I was told nothing yet, but I had a discussion with him recently that indicated otherwise as they think there's enough of a market there.

They do have awesome customer support - it's nice having somebody in the U.S. to work with rather than having to wait for a response from somebody on the other side of the ocean. Plus they are VERY supportive of the motorsports community...

I just checked my log, I have 155 sessions on my set of DBA 5000 rotors with Porterfield R4 pads on the Cartoon Car, which is ~15k miles on my odometer. Been very happy with how well they've held up for me. Been known to use some brake on the roadcourse, as well as carry huge passenger ballast weight ...

Wow - that's actually quite impressive. I have to admit that I am looking forward to spending much less on consumables with the car being so lightweight...

i think in some states, i'm actually common law married to my brake pedal.

i do love the rush of engaging the binders and being squeezed just a bit more into the harness straps.
