I am selling my Lotus GT3 race car.... not entirely happy about it as I wanted to really get to grips with it next year. But I am starting up my own team with a couple of others and we will be racing something different as there are not enough of these to go around - so here she is....

*2006 Lotus Exige GT3*
1 of only 5 chassis built by Lotus Motorsport for the 2006 & 2007 British GT Championship

Lotus race heritage for very reluctant sale @ US$95,000 (less than current Lotus GT4 !!)

This car was the prototype but campaigned through the 2006 British GT season by the Factory Sponsored team Cadena.
2007 the car was bought by Lotus Korea from Lotus and used for display purposes in their Showroom
2008 Campaigned by me in the 2008 Asian Supercar Series

Comes with a host of spares, extra set of rims.

In what was a very rushed and unprepared season we managed to finish in the top 10 in 4 out of the 7 rounds the car competed in of the Asian Supercar Series (field > 25 cars Ferrari Challenges/GT, P Cup, Lambo GT3, Corvette)
those other 3 races....
1st race in the car was missed due to engine trouble
1 x race finished outside the top 10
1 x race DNF due to hose from intercooler to super charger working lose

The spec of this car far exceeds the current Lotus GT4 offering and full details will be given to serious enquiries. Lots of scope to develop the car even further !

It's an amazing car & that vid was the 1st time I had driven it, straight out of Lotus Korea show rm and over to sepang and it still went well - although massive understeer all weekend (all sorted now!)

Race 1 engine trouble & didn;t make the grid, Race 2 was the one above & then the 3nd race that weekend was this one(1min20 onwards)

Very nice driving. Out braking the field. Too bad this course has too many long straight-aways that the higher the higher HP cars just pull away from the Lotus. Typical Lotus.

One lucky buyer who was in the market for a Cup Car or 2-11 will have a very nice Christmas present. A factory-prepped race car that was part of the team winning their class in the British GT series for $95K? Bargain of the year.

how come there are no side impact bars in the door area in that cage?
I must be missing something in the design of the car.

^ good eye, fishguy. I noticed that also, thought it was odd. I doubt the doors have an anti-intrusion bar.

I would think the door do have the standard side intrusion beam (else there is nothing to hang the door skin on)
