Sparco Evos

Anybody successfully fitted these in the Elise/Exige? I'm looking for seat alternatives, and I remember fitting in the Evo pretty well (better in the older version since it was narrower). I'm 6'2" 165lbs, with a relatively long torso, so height position is a significant consideration. I assume it'll require custom brackets...

Please no "buy Reverie seats" - I have no desire to work out a kidney for CF bling. Plus I have to make an appearance into saving some money for my wedding...

John,
kirt, at hypersports can make a sparco rev fit in the Elise. he already has custom brackets made up, and recommends trimming some area from the seat near your thighs outside just above the knees.
i dont have the contact info, but i think perryeges does. maybe PM him for it.
I got a sparco rev from ebay in great condition used for $50. might hunt on ebay or also try www.racingjunk.com for one.
i think the rev or rev 2 fits, not sure about others, as they are wider than the rev.
good luck. Pm me if you want other help or cannot find the contact info.

You might lose some headroom.

You might lose some headroom.

And you have to redo the harnesses and lose the 3 points.

OK, anybody know of a shop in SoCal that has a variety of seats available for me to sit in? It's been awhile since I've had a chance to sit in a variety of seats and I should do it again before I pull the trigger on anything.

Also, I need some recommendations on a reliable fabricator in SoCal to do seat brackets for me. I will call Kurt at Hyper-Sport in the morning, but he's near Atlanta... I may also call Piper Motorsports as well since they've done great work for me in the past and may have a template available.

Again, I just need to explore as many opportunities as possible here due to my size...

Since you're in Huntington Beach, Super Autobacs also has a nice selection of seats, but i don't know if they got what you're looking for

Search for "Tall Person's Seat" and "New Upholstery for Tall Person's Seat". If you think that those might work for you, why don't you drive up to Santa Barbara and sit in my car to try them out? You can play with the mounting to optimize head room, leg room, or a good compromise.
Thanks,
Joe
