Jack. Yes, I know it does not do much. I have it angled to the right side where my blind spot is when someone is trying to sneak inside of me in a turn. I am looking to go with a rear camera with monitor next season. Or if SCCA will allow it, air to water intercooler and get rid of the bellows so I can see out of the back.

Question, looking at these pics I notice a lot of elises have their tops down. Is that because some track code not to have soft top up if you don't have a hard top? I would imagine that having the top down would add drag.

The drag gets more pronounced past 60mph.
Soft tops are permitted at all the tracks I know of. Some guys remove the soft top because their helmet touches the soft top. The soft top(10lbs) weighs much less than the hard top(25lbs) as well; but the hard top has better aero. (less drag) -Robert

kick ass!
Eddie, you have the 8" GT3, right? I've got to hear how loud your car is. I'm leaning towards 6" GT3 with decat.

Tires
Tires are Hoosier R6's mounted on Volk Racing 15 & 16 inch rims. 245 in the rear.
Seems to be a good combo. Had Spencer Pumpelly (Kevin Buckler's TRG Racing) drive the car and he loved the way it braked and handled. G. |

From High Plains Raceway yesterday. A little blowing tumbleweed in the teeth in the last shot.
