Question, looking at these pics I notice a lot of elises have their tops down. Is that because some track code not to have soft top up if you don't have a hard top? I would imagine that having the top down would add drag.

The drag gets more pronounced past 60mph.
Soft tops are permitted at all the tracks I know of.
Some guys remove the soft top because their
helmet touches the soft top.

The soft top(10lbs) weighs much less than the hard top(25lbs) as well; but
the hard top has better aero. (less drag)

Eddie, you have the 8" GT3, right? I've got to hear how loud your car is. I'm leaning towards 6" GT3 with decat.

Tires are Hoosier R6's mounted on Volk Racing 15 & 16 inch rims. 245 in the rear.
Seems to be a good combo. Had Spencer Pumpelly (Kevin Buckler's TRG Racing) drive the car and he loved the way it braked and handled.

Was out at the California Speedway for the Festival of Speed and there were two Lotus running with the Porsches.
