Well written article. I can't watch the videos here at work, did they give lap times?

EDIT:
Finally able to watch the videos... just took a while to buffer. I count the Caterham and 2 eleven at about the same time and the Atom about a second slower.

But man, the difference is startling. The 2 eleven is just so much better composed he looks like he's going slower. The freak'n Atom is all over the place with the driver cursing it the whole way.

The caterham needs R compound tires. And with regard to the ABS issue, I like locking up the unweighted front tire entering corners in the caterham, it might not be as fast or efficient as ABS, but it looks cool from the drivers seat seeing the tread stop and it gives good feedback. Plus you can take your wife out to lunch in it. So although I would like them all, I'll take the caterham. Oh wait, I did. Now if I can just get that engine and gearbox.

Yeah I was stunned to that the 211 got the time after watching it - was quite dull after watching the others. Just shows that power isn't everything it's what you do with it that counts.

I've driven an atom and although fun, it's not a fast track car. It has trouble just going in a straight line when the power is applied.

Great video, I think each one of the drivers should have driven every car around the track.

Atom: 1:17.5
Caterham: 1:17.3
2-11: 1:16.4

Despite their ribbing that it was all the car, I'm pretty sure the driver did have some factor in it too.

Article and Video's were nice, but all too much "buffering..."

The 2-eleven was by far the best driven of the three, with the Atom the worst driven. The Atom's oversteer was being heavily driver induced by not braking earlier and then getting the power on to put weight to the back.

I'd still have the 2-eleven myself, though.

I don't get the point. Burn up tires?

As a side note, that atom looked like a royal pain to drive! But they were different drivers, so the driver in the 2 eleven could have been just a much better driver. I don't think this is a good comparison.

I'm sure it is, but I still think its a horrible comparison. I can make a vw bug look much better than an elise if I have my sister drive against me for time. little drastic, but you get the picture.

I don't know anything about the guy driving the Atom but I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt...

It has been widely reported by reviewers that the 2-Eleven makes an average driver look like a hero
