TWRD racing Exige

Here are some pics of the new TWRD race car. I don't have any specifics on performance yet, but will post them when I get them.

BTW the front clam will be available late November, If you are interested in buying one you can subscribe to New CF parts on the horizon I'll be updating info on pricing and availability there.

Cheers,
Jacob

The naca ducts below the side scoop - does it have a purpose or is it a visual thing? Edit: Looks like it is on the driver's side only....

I'd be surprised if they put them there just for looks. But I'll ask.

What are the specs on those wheels? They look like Team Dynamics, but the front spokes seem flush with the lip.. whereas mine are more inset.

This car has a 250hp Rover Evo 2.0 engine with 6 speed sequential gear box. The naca duct is for cooling the sequential gear box oil cooler.

If I ever crashed my front clam (God forbid) I'd definitely be interested in getting this one as a replacement.

EDIT: Just noticed that the front clam is built for 2005-2006 headlights... Jacob will they be building a 2007+ spec clam as well?

front fuel cell? Are they also doing the wing and mounts? That looks pretty killer.

Don't know about the front fuel cell.

The wing, CF roof and mounts are also going to be available.

Congrats on your car AJ and great pass on the video! Looks like you made quite a beast.

I can only think it would go where the heater goes.

How do you get the fuel back to the engine?

I guess it would help move weight to the front of the car.

Looks awesome, but man, that naca duct is going to be picking up some serious road goo in that location. The only other comment I have is that I would prefer different wheel well louvers, like the ones on LMP cars:

No idea if they are more or less effective at releasing pressure in the wheel well, I just think they look better. A CF insert with these kinds of louvers would look badass IMO.

The wheels are Lotus Sport wheels made by OZ

And before anyone asks they will not fit our cars.

I think the new CUP260 wheel looks something like those.

Patrick, thats one of our club member's "Plans' race car bought from uk last year
It had then gone through some body work development from our buddy..............Tony that u also know of when u visited us in hk & zic in china
Tom's elise will have the same style body clams as well but with widened wheel arches as well & most of all....................a K20 type R engine as well.................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tom's race car looks great when compare to lotus sport's GT3 concept!!!
Pm me or get in touch with Tom or Tony, those new clams are in great quality......................I'll say better than Lotus oem clams even when compare to my 2-11.
They are only slightly thicker then my 2-11's
PS I ain't here to make a profit................just to point out a nice product from my friend...........Tony who is behind these new clams developement.
I' just another 2-11 owner in hk who also ride ducati litre bikes thats all.
Rubber side down buddies!!!!!!

Someone asked me about the front clam weight, so I thought I'd share it with everyone.

The TWRD racing front clam shell weights 9.5kg which is 6kg lighter than factory.

The CF hard top weights 6kg which is about half of the factory hardtop. In my opinion this and lighter wheels could be one of the best mods to your car, since the weight reduction is located at the highest point of the car.

Cheers,
Jacob
