What drivers seat is in a 255 cup car?

Do tell.

It looks comfy.

Is it?

You might check this link - someone was selling a Cup Car seat early April - not sure if it's still available.

It's a Recaro Apex. Nothing much else will fit, not even the Recaro Seat brackets. You can buy a Lotus sport / recaro seat or just buy one from recaro and test you fabrication skills on the brackets.

Yeah, you definitely want to sit in one before buying. I have the Sparco REV they used in the SCCA race cars; they are very narrow.

talk to Ed Hann - he had a very slick seat installation done, they used an Alumn seat so that the could just squezze in a wider seat - very nice, very comfortable, and a wider seat does in fact in the Elise, you just need the right seat.

So are you saying the Sparco REV fits in an Elise as well, or were you talking about some other SCCA race car? I'm investigating various seat options as well. The stock Elise seats just aren't that great for the track - no sub hole, no shoulder belt holes, etc.. Thanks

*snore* wha? Oh.

http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41102

The driver's side is 17" wide along the seat bottom. FWIW, a lot of custom fitting was required to get it fit. These are Kirkey Deluxe Road Race seats.

Yes, the REV fits. Mine is for sale, with fixed mounts and the shoulder harness holes have been modified; stock, they are way too low for even my paltry 5' 9"!

I'm 6' 1" and my waist is larger than a 34 and I fit just fine.

Here's the info on the seat that came in the Cup240....

yeah, I found that it isn't the waist size that matters as much as the width between the outsides of the hips, where the femur comes out of the pelvis. that is where I feel the pain

I agree -- I would not want that seat in my daily driver.

I did just come back from a 75 mile drive on city streets/freeways -- it wasn't tooooo bad.

I know this is months late, but just saw it.....The seat is a Recaro Profi SPG....It is snug and comfy at the same time and fits with no mods.
Mine is bolted straight to the floor and cage, no heavy brackets.
Griffen Motorwerks in Norcal is the USA distributor and is happy to sell one to you.

hope this helps....

Robb
