TheRedMenace, your photos are great! What camera do you use? Have you edited the orginials?

Thanks! I'm using a Nikon D90. They're HDRI pics. I'm using Photmatix pro to combine the images. The only thing I'm really messing with are the white/black levels, saturation and gamma. (If any of that was Chinese, let me know and I'll explain further. Sometimes I have a tendency to nerd out to the point where nobody understands me :-).

Thanks for the info. I am always interested if photographers are Nikon or Canon people! The D90 is a great camera- Hoodman makes some awesome accessories for it. HDR imaging is very popular now days and provides some amazing photos, thanks for sharing your great pictures!

Here is my favorite image of my elise so far... It was taken by a pro-photographer during a Track Day at Miller Motorsports Park. It has some photoshop work to it too.

My favorite comment of the day from my instructor: "THIS LOTUS IS AMAZING. IT TOTALLY MAKES UP FOR YOUR IN-ABILITY TO DRIVE iT PROPERLY ON THE TRACK!" WTF- Had a good time regardless!

Appreciate the compliment. It took me about 3 years to find her, but all good things come to those who wait. Unfortunately so many of the nicer Federal S1's have gone to Europe where demand is very high for them. Plus the added strength of the Euro against the Dollar makes it even more attractive for a European buyer.

britman

apparently most of the S1's came to America. seems like there weren’t a lot sold in its domestic uk market....hence the high demand. yours looks fantastic with the euro front bumper. i have the same euro bumper and have been contemplating on sticking on my S3. I want source an early rear bumper first.

there are nice solid cars out there in the wood work. mine is rare S3 on this side of the pond. probably only around 5 NA S3 in america since i last counted. I would say its in outstanding condition also although it hasnt been driven in a few years and would need some tending to. i prefer the purity of the early G-bods over appendaged turbos.

Anyone have S2 seats, mirrors and wheels for sale?

Cheers

dh

So as you look at the first picture, remember what my new toy's bedroom started as in the second picture....

The way I figure it, I would remodel a bedroom for a real baby, so what's so odd about doing it for my newest "baby"

Amazing what a few weekends' work can do to a dirty old garage! I had to wait for her for a month to get here from CA, and it helped pass the time. Now if I just had a recliner in there, I may never leave

Adam

PS At the time, I didn't realize the 3 1/2" wainscoting would be as tall as the car!

Oh and here's the other end of Adam's car:

It was just a case of being too slow with the camera, but I think it illustrates what Esprits do best.

I have a new favorite picture I thought I'd share

Yes, I know black isn't all that rare...

I was running between a show this morning and a baby shower, so while my wife ran in to Target for a gift, I snapped a few photos in the parking deck. When I have more time, I'm going to go back and stage them a little better, but now I'm feeling inspired!

Got my Esprit back from the shop and took some photos. It got dark quick so not the best and had to put it in email form so quality suffered, but here it is anyway. Hoping to do some better HQ shots and Video ( excited about that)
BTW love the 350 shots that were posted - glad your gearbox is all sorted out
