Removing rear side markers

Has anyone remove the rear side markers from their Esprit?

I have not spent a lot of time on this - but was able to get my finger on the backend of the housing - going in from the trunk.

I need to remove them - looking at adding fender flares and i'll need to relocate them a few inches back.

If you mean the rear marker lights in the bumper, they're pretty easy to remove. The lenses come out with a pair of screws and then the rest of the assembly pops out.
