Renault tranny parts for S4 - LotusTalk

Hey guys,

My tranny on my 94 S4 just gave up the ghost in second gear.... aargh....

Does anyone happen to have a 2nd gear, as well as a set of 1-2 gear synchros for sale?... or know where I can get them at a discounted cost? I just can't afford right now the $300 for synchros as well as a $600 for the new second gear......

The gear can be used, I think, but of course I think I'll have to bite the bullet for new synchros and of course new gasket/o-ring/seals....

did you try JAE?
I got all my tranny parts thru them.

Yep,

JAE needs $300 for the synchros, $680 for the 2nd gear and $130 for the gaskets kit......... I would do it in a heartbeat if I was able to afford it right now... Jeff at JAE is totally the best, always politely and knowledgeably answers all my lame questions with great answers......

In this slow economy, I'm not doing as much special effects work, so money is os tight.... aaaand, to top it off, the Esprit was my daily driver as it got the best gas mileage of our cars.......sigh
