Test Drive Pics of an 01 Esprit

Hey Guys,

I have been in touch with a few of you Elise owners in MA, here is my contribution. This is the first post 1987 Esprit I have driven, and I still love it just the same. It would make an ideal weekend car for some long drives. I don't know if I could ever safely drive it in city traffic, or for daily driving/errands where I have to exit the cockpit often.

I have some other opinions, but I will not go so far as I am a noob who loves Esprits but I do not yet know the atmosphere of this messageboard. The car is an 01 with lo miles, and has been for sale on and off.

btw, the camera and MegaPixel is a bit on the low side, please have a heart. (I budget for car stuff, not camerastuff lol)

Luggage Has to Be Appropriate in Scheme

Very pretty car. I don't think I've seen a silver V8. I like, I like.

Gorgeous. I have been in love with the Esprit since I was about 10 years old. Still stops my heart when I see one on the road.

the car was for sale last fall for about 48k, with 11k miles. I highly suspect a motivated buyer can snap it up late this summer for 45k or so.

I think I realize I can only handle an Esprit as a weekend car, of which I already have too many and too little space for more. If my fleet gets smaller, I can see myself getting a non V8 circa 94-95 S4.

It will take time to find a well sorted out car at a good price and non red color lol. I would spring for a 97/98 in Azure Blue, or an updated 89 SE with newer rims and bumpers.

Given the nature of these beasts, I would likely want it to be a long distance fun car and track car; how much more uncomfortable would it be if I made it a clone of an X180R car? I might as well make it as much of a beast as possible!!
