There is nothing like...

A cool night & V.P. in my E-sprit!! It's back!!!
I was a bit worried that my Esprit was not as fast as normal (I was not treating it as usual -that was the problem.) Just put V.P. Motorsport 109 fuel back in & waited for a cooler night (tonight) No adjusting the wastgates, but more power indeed - back to around 500-550.
This is how I will leave it for L.R.P. (still a question how it will perform in the heat of day ) But... to make up for any losses, tomarrow it gets Yoki. slicks installed!! I have never had slicks on the car, so I am really looking foward to this (I hope the bushings will not deflect too much! ) See you there...

Slicks are on and feel great! But under full throttle it just dumps fuel (goes rich) out the exhaust. You would think with all the boost I run, it would go lean. This is new to me... So that is why I am awake trying to sort this out.

No problems, seems it just took the ECU a few good blasts to figure it out. Pulled a fast & easy 160mph. Feels & smells normal again

You're such a buzz kill!

The guy's excited about his car, I would be too. Granted, it's an Esprit, and they can be tempermental and are very expensive when they are. But he knows that, let him enjoy it. Embrace the passion.

It does sound to me like you've been hurt one too many times by an Esprit.

Kirk,
I hope you don't mean literally!?

Hope you have a spare set of O2 sensors on hand. They will only take so much leaded race fuel before they crap out.

see ya Tuesday,
Mike

Hey, Kirk,
You got a lap timer in that pig? I'd like to see the times you can achieve with your Esprit at LRP.

Kirk, Stallion, you guys might not believe this, but we are actually trying to help you all out. But you all seem bound and determined to either (a) prove us wrong or (b) just not listen.

Anyway, let us know how it goes. If it blows up, will be a learning experience for everyone, so keep us posted.

No worries, not literally. I come prepaired with 55 gallons of VP109 Unleaded. but no lap timer (just take 5-8 seconds off the fastest Elise/Exige and there you have my lap times)

I wouldnt' want to race him.. especially in that beast Esprit..

I think it's hilarious to watch the haters here.. Kirk is a true car lover and enthusiast and for some reason his enthusiasm really gets to some of you guys (jeffyoung)..

I've seen his stable.. his cars are all modded and pristine and run great.. pisses some people off, ya gotta expect that but overall it's pretty impressive!

No hater here.
Just like busting chops..

Kirk, I was unaware that VP was making unleaded 109, very cool to have O2 sensor safe race fuel.
