Elan Holding up Lotus Honor Hershey Hill Climb

I spent a couple of hours this morning at the vintage hill climb in Hershey, PA. I only found one Lotus in the bunch. I did not want to bother the driver so I apologize if I am publishing pictures of a member of the forum without asking. I apologize even more if they don't do the car justice. I am still having trouble with sizing pictures small enough for the forum.

Nice. Did you get any pics of that 96 in the background. There's nothing in the worls like those old 2 stroke V4s (wonder why?).

I had more pictures but can't figure out what happened with my camera settings. I guess I should read the instructions.

PS: There's no such thing as a two stroke v4 Saab. They are an inline 3. And, while one of them appears to be a 96, the other looks like a 93. Nice pics, thanks!

Probably because the V4 was a four stroke - the two strokes were two and later three cylinders.

Ahhhhh... beaten to it by chrisintebe!

The picture of the Saabs stirred some interest in our household! The current project car is a 1960 96 (nice red with a sunroof even and a spot to attach a lamp as seen in the pic).

Decades ago, some friends and I were going skiing @ nite here in NJ.

On a small country road, there was a guy behind the wheel of an ancient Saab, clearly getting some fellatio. His car was not quite on the shoulder; it blocked a small portion of the road.

Someone in our car "tsk, tsked". I said not to worry as he wouldn't be there long.

They asked why.

I replied that "We all know Saab owners are only good for two strokes."

My apologies....
