I must admit to us younger generation, that power plant is very impressive for the age. 2.0L dual over head cam making about 160 HP....thats still "upper" power levels for a factory 2.0L even today.

I didn't catch it, but was this EFI or a carb'ed motor? For the time frame I would guess carb, but I know Lotus likes to try new things so (a form of) EFI would not have been out of the picture during this time.
