A/C Improvement Modifications

1) Insulate the cockpit from Solar (3M Crystalline Tint) & Convected (insulate sills) heat.
2) Replace evaporator thermostat with an upgraded electronic version to prevent freeze up.
3) Increase airflow into cockpit by removing both driver & passenger side footwell intake panels & blocking 2 outside air intakes in nose.

Guess the overly optimistic speedo isn't a trait new to the Elise...

2.2L turbo and only 215hp? weak sauce. I thought it was at least 230-250hp.

Funny how the acceleration chart doesn't go all the way up to 100mph.

Two things:

First, it's how much is under the power curve that matters, not just the peak.

Second, back in the '80s that was doing pretty good. The "early days" of production fuel injection, and all the latest, complicated smog equipment. Modern day ECU's do a much, much better job of controlling emissions while making lots of power.
