Another Toy
Putting the "Special" back into "Special Edition". Installation of Lotus Motorsport baffled oil sump (GTN PN: ALS5E0147J)

While this is listed with an individual part number in the Lotus GTN catalog, I purchased it through VSA Motorsport, rather not say how much - not cheap, but cheap if you consider it a work of art and looking inside with its 3 dimension tunnels to the bottom sump, check gates and baffles produced by Swindon Engines of F1 fame. VSA is seeing no oil pick up problems at 1.8 g's

Wonder why they sell it at this price, for the Elise you had various option well in the 3-digit €/$ territory. Still would like to get one.

Looks great - very well made.
Is this the only option for the 2GR-FE engine? And what's the new sump capacity?

Don't know about other options; the normal Lotus tuning shops are not listing any yet. While it is from Toyota engine that has been around awhile, don’t think it had too much enthusiast attention. This is truly a sump for racing applications that do not permit a dry sump, not just a pan.
While Moroso builds lots of sumps, this product is more though out for preventing oil starvation. Oil capacity seems to have gone up by about 2 qts; fill takes 2 gals of oil, exclusive of cooler(s)
