Yeah, that's Bodywerks. Good to know. Thanks!

I thought my biggest problem was climate control knobs!

Ouch... what happened?

Bodywerks has pretty crappy online reviews (https://plus.google.com/110943387926...03/about?hl=en), but seems like all of you have had good experiences?

Mall parking lot mishap. Blind intersection (shrubbery), he had a stop sign, I didn't. No citation because stop signs on private property are not enforceable.
Be careful out there.

No citation, but at least insurance will still find fault. Better that the other guy pay for your surely expensive repair than couple hundred dollar ticket.

Bummer though. Good luck on the repair.

Forgot to mention, the lights are still working except for the smashed bumper lamp. The headlight cover is cracked, though.

Excellent. The opposing insurance company has accepted 100% liability for the accident. As soon as the appraisal is done, my car will be on the way to Body Werks in Dallas.

Lessons here: You can't wait for things to happen. You have to make things happen. It took several days to get the policeman at the scene to contact the opposing insurer or the insurer to contact the policeman to make a statement. You have to make sure everyone takes messages, has the correct phone numbers, makes followup calls...everything. My insurance was helpful, but I had to keep them on the ball, as well. Nothing is going to happen if you don't make it happen.

Cops would not come until he called about being attacked by a maniac.
Imagine the cops surprise when they show up and see a guy in two leg braces, a cast on right arm, and bandages over most of my body backing down two young punks. Looking back must have been comical. Otherwise cops would never have shown.

Truer words have never been spoken. Park Place Dallas says they've been on back order since Sept. 2012. Man, that's bad news.

Anyone know why?

Anyone know where they're made?

Anyone know anyone who can push some buttons?

made by a small company in the UK, perei. They handle lots of small volume OEM. I'm sure they are one of the many suppliers with payment issues from Lotus which is probably exacerbating the situation

I'd be wary of letting somebody who can't even spell bodywork, perform said task.

Actually, Park Place Plano said they got a pair of lights in yesterday that had been on back order a long time, so maybe they are trickling in again.
